Are they some form of ephedrene?
I'd be wary about using that stuff as an energy booster,it can cause horrible side effects.palpitations,nausea,sleepnessnes,anxiety and christ knows what else.
I'd have thought it was more used as part of a weight-loss stack,although illegal.

No, it's an illegal stimulant that contains ephedrine.
