Snow/Safety

Right, so it's bucketing down snow here and Im in work for 6.
I want to take the camera with me to get some snowy night shots afterwards, but with no lockers/safe place to keep the camera in wrk, my only option is to leave it in the car.

Ive a fairly safe car and Im not worried about a break-in, but if I was to leave the camera in the car in this weather/temperature, could I damage it in anyway?

I dont want to miss this oppertunity, really. Any advice would be great.

It'll be perfectly safe (environmentally) in the car. Nothing there to worry about.

Just watch for drastic changes in temp - warm to cold, cold to warm, etc.

Bring your batteries in with you so the cold won't drain them, other than that, you're good to go.

And also watch when you bring the camera back into the house etc afterwards. Leave it somewhere to acclimatise to allow for the change in temperature before trying to use it.

Saw a hint somewhere to put your camera / lens in a zip lock bag whilst outside and give it about an hour to acclimatise when you return indoors. Haven't done it - just saw it posted elsewhere.
