Rock and/or Roll in Wexford

    Hi all,

    Dave here, 29, and I recently moved home to Co. Wexford after ten years in Dublin, six of those having been spent as a professional guitarist/bassist.

    I want to set up a Rock'n'Roll band that plays stuff like this:

    Everybody needs somebody - The Blues Bros
    Sweet Home Chicago - Blues Bros
    Jailhouse Rock - Blues Bros
    Soul Man - Blues Bros
    That's alright, Mama - Elvis
    Blue Suede Shoes - Elvis
    Get Back - Beatles
    Come Together - Beatles
    Rock and Roll Music - Beatles
    Back in the USSR - Beatles
    You May Be Right - Billy Joel
    Still Rock 'n' Roll to me - Billy Joel
    Bad Moon Rising - CCR
    Romeo and Juliet - Dire Straits
    Folsom Prison Blues - Johnny Cash
    Tutti Frutti - Little Richard (Queen Wembley 86 version)
    Johnny B Goode - Chuck Berry
    You Never Can Tell (C'est La Vie) - Chuck Berry
    Georgia on my Mind - Ray Charles
    Need Your Love So Bad - Fleetwood Mac
    Superstition - Stevie Wonder

    and the lineup I'd like is guitar/vox (that's me), plus electric bass, drums, keys and a sax. BV's a bonus but not essential. I was running a band like this for a while called The Hotshots - obligatory Myspace link - that's the kind of thing I'm going for, but I want to do it on a fairly small scale, just pub gigs, party gigs, small PA, no weddings or anything - too much bloody hassle!

    The setlist isn't set in stone. I have loads more tunes that the band used to do and I'm very open to suggestions.

    Anybody interested in the Wexford area? Don't really care what age you are, as long as you can play, improvise a bit, and like to play blues/Rock'n'Roll!

    hey dave i have a really good bass player in on this too he's down in my area too very solid too and does vocals too
