    hi folks,
i will be placing my hob on my island unit in the middle of our kitchen.
Out of interest does anyone have any experience of having their hob on the island in the middle of the kitchen? is it a good idea\bad idea? prose\cons etc would be great

    Howdi

We have our gas hob on our island. We dont have any issues with it to be honest, its a central part in the kitchen and its easy to travel from the fridge to the sink to the hob and oven

Have a gander at my blog to see out setup

We have ours on an island too - it's very sociable and handy for accessing fridge / sink etc.

The only negative was that it was a pain in the *** to install the extractor myself.

thanks bowsie, indeed that is an issue we have also. its a more expensive extractor required also once you go with an island hood.
    thanks for the info!
