Tumble Turns

Can anyone tell me how to go about learning to tumble turn?

I've been swimming several years but still cannot tumble turn although I haven't made much of an effort in all honesty.

When I have tried, the rest of my body just will not follow my head and shoulders as I begin to do the tumble.

A lot of it is confidence. You need to have a bit of momentum behind you to do a good tumble turn. It just doesn't really work if you stop and then try one. Also, try and get as close to the wall as possible. You actually move away from the wall when you put your head down so this can stop you from getting a good push off.

practice doing your tumble while moving before you get to the wall. Perfect and move towards the wall. Don't swim into the wall!

I use a basic touch turn but tend not to overly push myself off the wall as I train in a 20meter pool and want to get more arm strokes in then gliding through the water.
