fitting mondeo mk3 clutch

    Hi I have to do a clutch on a 2001 1.8 petrol mondeo I was just wondering if anybody has done one before .is it the same as a mark2 mondeo where you have to drop the front subframe to get gearbox out

    anybody with any tip's would be greatly appreciated

    Yes have done loads.

    Complete front subframe has to come down.

    Steering Rack Bolts 18mm hard to get at. There is a special tool but long extensions and a wobble joint will do.

    Make sure you mark the position of the subframe on the chassis with tipp-ex before you take it down as the holes are escentric. Of course there is special tools for this aswell.

    Have done one or two on the ground but if you can do it with the use of a ramp.

    thanks Healyc i dont have luxuary of ramp so will have to do it on ground
