DAB Radio Frequencies

    I live in East Cork and am unable to receive any DAB Station on my DAB radio whose freq range is 174.928Mhz - 239.200Mhz

    Should I not be able to receive them from Spur Hill?

    suppose depends on how far east you go, I've one of these Philips AJ5100/05 Desktop DAB Radio (from Richersounds), living in the Caherlag area 10mins from tunnel and I get dab on it.

    Not sure what the freq range is on it though.

    Where exactly in east Cork are you?

    Cobh for instance would generally be hopeless for DAB even though it is not too far away from Spur Hill 'as the crow flies', due to the terrain

    Looking at the Map the Cork coverage is Abysmal compared with FM Radio.

    Apart from a few RTE automated stations on DAB, FM Radio is better. Get your money back on the DAB Radio as RTE won't be improving DAB coverage any time soon and none of the other Comercials or Local will be on DAB.

    i was all set to buy a DAB radio a few months back, then i saw the coverage map.

    no way jose
