    Hi,

This is pc related - so here goes

I found an old 8mm tape of mine and eventually tracked down a camcorder aka brick, to play it on.
I now want to capture this footage on my pc - with Pinnacle 12.
The camcorder comes with a 2-rca to 2 rca lead (vid & audio) - presumably just to plug it into the crt years ago.
My gc has an s-video and dvi

what connector, cables or other solution do I have to use to connec to my pc or any other solutions ?
    thx
    K

I think you'll need an external video capture card, something like

It looks ok...if you want to read an obviously sponsored review read here

There are lots of places selling it though so it looks pretty ok.

Reckon that one must have fallen off the back of a lorry, costs about $30 new.

stupid question - do you have or have acces to a DVD recorder.

If so just line the old 8mm camcorder into the dvd recorder (normally the red white and yellow connectors on the front) set the recorder to recorde from ext souce and off you roll, that will get it to dvd and fdrom there lob it in the pc and edit away

Simple as id you have the dvd recorder
