Irish Sky box abroad

Hi,am a noob here so apologies if im posting this in the wrong section? If so can it be moved to correct one please.

I live abroad and purchased a new Sky+ box and have got it installed.

All is working fine apart from the fact that i am not receiving the following channlels....

RTE1,RTE2,TV3,BBC1,BBC2

I get the "no satellite signal received" message

Basically all terestrial Uk channels.I also tried adding the likes of the ITV channels and CH5 etc but no dice.

Can anybody offer advice of how i can receive them? If it is possible?

Abroad where? Is your dish large enough?

And have you got an Irish Sky subscription?

Abroad Sweden.

I've no reason to believe dish is not big enough? Its quite big(i dont know the technical stuff)

And yes i have Irish Sky subscription.

What does this mean? I cant get them?

It means it depends where in Sweden you are located. The further north and east, the bigger the dish you require.

It means there is reason to believe your dish is not big enough, would have thought the page I linked to was pretty self explanatory.

So any sized dish 120cm or bigger would do the job?

That forum you directed me to seems dead,im still waiting for my account to be approved on there.

Is there a particular make of dish somebody here would reccommend?

Also,I have a sky+ box but at the moment only have 1 cable running to it,adding a 2nd cable at the same time as the new dish,should work fine right?

Some people report good reception with 120cm. Others suggest a 150cm is required for 24/7 reception. Both Channel Master and Gilbertini are mentioned in this link:

Adding a second cable for Sky+ should work fine.
