Proposed Fees Support

We all know about the new fees the government wants to introduce, I'm not here to agree or disagree with them...

But IF Third Level fees are introduced, will there be any kind of government based support for worse off students, ie those who already get their registration fee paid for by their local authority or receive accommodation grants? Surely if they can't afford to pay the €900 and soon to be €1500 registration fee, they won't be able to pay fees in whatever form they come in, IF they come in.

Can anyone shead any light on this issue, or point me in the right direction?

    Cheers
