    Hey lads, looking for any info on shooting foxes with the shotgun. Got some cartridges today off the local ammo guy. 12HV11/0-SGBUCK. What next?Lamp? What and how much? Any further advise? Thanks in advance.

    just get a cheap argos lamp 5 million candle power,a fox call,a friend to carry the stuff, insurance can be helpfull, make sure you no where your shooting, walk the land during the day check for cattle n houses/barns anything the farmer wouldnt like you to put a hole in.

    I normally use Eley alphmax BB's on drives, they're perfectly fine. Tried 00 buck 3.5in loads once and strangely never noticed the recoil, its funny how perceived recoil never appears in the heat of the hunt!

    I would be careful shooting foxes at nite with a shotgun more than often you can make them shy and impossible to shoot. Around me we get lots of lads lamping at nite with shotguns and end up shooting way out of range and foxes become quite clever and lamp shy, but driven fox shoots can be very productive with the shotgun when ran rite.     download a rabbit distress call and put it on your mobile. works a charm i hear. havnt used it myself though as i dont normally bother with foxes. cant eat them!
