Tennis Racquets

    looking to get a new Prince racquet as back up to the one i have. it is 18 years old but still a very good racquet

    now i have a voucher for Elverys but they have no racquets in stock.

    this is all they have on their website:

    it is size 3. i am 6ft tall and 31 years old. what size do i need?

    I was in Elvery's in Portlaoise very recently and they had a number of different racquets there, mostly Wilson.

    Have you tried the shop in Fitzwilliam tc ? They had a good selection last time I was there and as far as I remember you can try out the racquets before you buy.

    Size 3 is probably the grip size. So it really depends on the size of your hands not your height, but size 3 is probably ok.

    I'd recommend Fitzwilliam as well, reasonable good on price and staff are mostly interested in tennis/play tennis so they can help you out a lot.

    If you have to go with Elverys the one on Suffolk street in Dublin is normally ok for racquets, not sure about the rest.

    What sort Prince racquet is it? Is it black with green lines? Then its a graphite, one of the best ever made. You need to check if its a 90 or 110 head on it. If its a graphite then there are plenty of racquets out there, just remember that the new ones are very light when compared to your old one, also get your grip size checked. Judging by your height, your should have a bigger grip, maybe something like 4 and a quarter. Get it checked
