    Hi,

Apologies upfront if this is not posted in the correct forum. If incorrect, would someone be so kind as to tell me which forum I should post this in?

I wanted to find out if anyone had any advise on Attic Conversions in the South side area?

    What price range?

    What company would you recommend?

How long should you expect it to take?

Do they do showers/loo, in the conversions?

We are talking about your basic two bedroom one bath terrace house. Would want the most space possible in the attic to be converted.

    Any help would be appreciated.

There are quite a few threads here about attic conversions - maybe type "attic" or "attic conversion" into the search box.

2 quick points - check if you require planning permission and the other - get someone to prepare a plan for it which will encompass compliance with all relevant aspects of the Building Regulations.

Finally I wouldnt know anyone or what sort of prices you would expect to pay in the Dublin area.

Just to add that I have merged 2 near identical threads above.

In or around 12k at the moment is quite reasonable for a basic conversion I think.

What floor area are you looking at?
What size ceiling joists are in at present?
Will you have to make room for a stairs?
Give an idea of present heights in the attic space.
