I was in work today, having a bit of a crappy day, and all I wanted was a big hug. Anyone else think hugs are the best thing ever to make you feel better?

I have been told i am useless at hugging - i never know how friendly you should be for a hug. I always kind of angle my body away from the person and just sort of hug the top half and then give a pat on the back. Maybe i just like my personal space.

If I'm in the right mood I can be an exceptional hugger. The trouble is I'm rarely in that mood these days. Boo for grumpy Blush!

yeh, I totally agree with you. My friend and I try to start our school day with a hug. It takes 2secs but makes 6th year that bit more bearable!

I had a **** day too, got soaked on my way to work and was miserable. Got picked up by my dad and he gave me a big hug and i felt so much better. hugs rock big time

the converse of this is how unpleasant it is when someone you dislike tries to hug you. particularly if they have personal hygiene deficiencies.

Ohh you can't make yourself immune to the hug longing.
You just have to get the people aound you drunk and take your hugs where you can

How about when someone puts a cup of tea on your desk, you turn around, and they hug you aswell. Ok, so it won't cure a fatal illness, but it'd give it a good go. Yay for hugs!

if i need a hug really bad... and i get the ''there there'' pat its worse than getting no hug!!!....

It took me five hours to get home from work today.

I got attacked by a bunch of snowball-yielding scobes on the way, lost my way when searching for the luas stop (that'll teach me to try a different route in Wizard of Oz weather...), got soaked to the core, my umbrella got blown away and about 100 yards from my house, I fell on my ass right into a slushy, sub zero puddle. I actually cried with frustration.

Oh, and my cold has now been upgraded to a flu.

allergic to most types of animal hair...
cant even go near my own dog...

i sometimes do it anyway not severe reaction just prolonged sneezing itchy eyes... puffy eyes... messed up make up lol

Ah no way, id hate that. Not being able to cuddle my cat (I know:o but he so cute & fat & cuddly!) or be around the horses would drive me mad!

I get that with cats too... fine with dogs

hugs are all good... well not all good, but mostly good

i never been on a horse i dont know if i would react...

cats flare it up well too easily...

Hugs are awesome. My friends have finally started to get the hint that I like hugs and are extending the hugginess at the end of a night without being forced. Its great!

i heard babies need 15 hugs a day to stay alive. 99.99999% sure thats BS but i'm thinking of creating a medical makey uppy name for this condition.
a chronic case of hug deficiency isn't funny. i'm open to suggestions.

awwww! this thread! haha, but yep, im kinda a huggy person. not all the time, but since moving to nz, none of the new mates ive made were huggers at all, you just wouldnt even think about trying it, and then mid december, was at a BBQ, met this bloke who i hit it off with (strictly as a mate, of course), he actually knew about this book i'd been slaving through reading, which, in my head, confirmed his awesome status straight away, but when i was leaving, i said bye, and he gave me a hug! that was really when i realised how much i missed hugging mates at times like that.

i think it's cos bunny b has its eyes closed, and bunny a's eyes are wide open. kinda like surprise buttsecks wide open.

maybe it was one of those hugs that kinda just came from nowhere... one minute you're just standing there, looking all cute n stuff, next minute out of nowhere, bunny b leaps on you and enforces hugs?

yeah i can kinda see what you mean. especially the type of wide eye expression. but given the angle bunny b is at i'm still guessing bunny b smells bad. or maybe fell asleep while hugging bunny a.

or maybe these are mob bunnies. and this is one of those sneaky mob greetings, you know where the mob bunny boss ben smiles and then goes to hug mob bunny alvin and whispers "i have your bunny wife in my bunny truck, so don't pull anything bunny stupid at this bunny diner, out on this bunny lawn... bunny understood?".

that would explain the expression perfectly.

okay i'm done adding bunny to everything, but my point is a hug can mean many things. even for bunnies.
