    obligatory thread + poll :)

    thoughts in 45 mins!

    wow..top notch ep this week.

End result...broken CIP dev, Mr. Firstlady about to be delivered to Dubaku and Matobo heading to the white house to talk tactics.

I was actually worried how the ep would turn out cos the first 20 odd mins seemed to go on for ages and then the ep kept going. Some pace of the opening but over all it was quality.

I do wonder what Tony has done.

and lulz at the firewall stuff and the laptop running the CIP :pac:

Yep damn good episode, thought the break in was good though a little predictable as the main bad guy always seems to slip through unnoticed while Jack and company lay siege to everything else around them.

Anyhoo now that Dubaku has Mr First Man we'll probably get to see a more emotional side of that very stiff president :p

    Roll on next week!

Decent episode. The siege was good. It'll be interesting to see who they'll end up working with. Probably Larry, Janis and Sean.

Tony is most certainly acting very suspiciously. His storyline is definitely going to go somewhere. I don't know if we've been introduced to the high level traitors in government yet. Ethan is way too obvious.

Is there anyone from previous series' that spring to mind?

Was a very good, well paced episode. Hard to know what's up next.

good ep. Mrs President will ask Jack to rescue her Hubby. and then we can hear the good old "Cloe, patch me through to the president...." :)

Tony is either still rogue or him staying behind will allow for rescue operation.

Yep, another solid episode and I enjoyed the attack on Dobaku's hideout. Speaking of which, WTF is up with Dobaku living the average Joe life in that apartment and the girlfriend? Seems like a personal life should be the last thing on his mind... I hope that storyline doesn't turn into one of those "Jack's lovechild" threads that goes nowhere...

I think Tony might end up being a major adversary in the end and the writers will have pulled a fast one on all of us - originally, they were billing Tony as the main bad guy (and Fox had a bazillion spoileriffic promos just to make sure you knew that) and then in the first 2-3 episodes, it's revealed he's really still a good guy. But maybe the plan is to switch things over again - this is 24 after all...

Once again, roll on next week :).

There's something not quite right with Tony. Especially in the scene where he says he's staying behind to follow up on a lead.

The attack on Dobaku's place was good. As were the scenes with the plant manager on the phone with Janis.

Also, it pays to have a lock code on your phone ;)

Ya great ep.. this season has started off really well and may it continue.

tbh i'd be gutted if tony goes bad on us again..

How stupid can that girlfriend be! He has to be some bit recognizable to the majority of americans

At first I thought she was Curtis's ex from season 4 who came to work for CTU, but then I remembered she was shot dead :D

I think it's the girlfriend's sister that Dubaku is after.

    who's her sister?

She didnt seem to find it weird that her boyfriend didnt ask her in when she called over

Glad the CIP is broken, as is Mr CIP, so it wont be just like "make a new one" back on track...

My prediction abt Henry was right! What happened to his own phone? Gedge shouldnt have needed to take it off him as he shoulda been dead before the paralysis wore off

    Tony is well dodge

I'd say he's still evil, and he'll have Chloe blackmailed to help him by holdin her babby and Morris hostage
No chance of chloe bein evil! FACT! :P

    Sean is annoyin me

They're tryin to make him very suspicious, yet obv not a mole
But its still dodge, like how he knew Larry's access code for grounding the flight

and I can see somethin bein up with his bit on the side

She mentioned her sister was having a party, or something. Don't know who she is, or whether it'll be important or not though.

I thought that too, but then he exploded...

It's just one of those 24 things. Why didn't he use your one's phone either? It wouldn't have advanced the plot if he had.

Yes, he's either a mole, or a tool, or possibly both.

Good episode, liked the break in, but not that Dubaku got away so easily (like that's never happened before). Interesting switch over from the CIP device to, what I guess will now be, a hunt for the First Gent. Presuming that Jack and Co will have no problem getting to see El Prez, and that the top level traitors won't intercept. That could still happen, but will be crap, annoying, and far too season 4/6, if they do.

Very good episode again this week. The ambush on Debachu's hide out was spectacular.

As everyone has said already, they're definitely throwing an air of suspicion around Tony. It's easy to see him eventually becoming the antagonist - maybe not in a plot to destroy the world or anything, but a reluctance to turn himself in for his earlier crimes. Besides, it wouldn't be unlike 24 to wrap up the main bad guy arc 3/4 of the way through a season for someone else to take up the mantle.

Again, loving the season so far.

Dubako has a bird; so it is true what they say, women DO love a bastard after all!
Am really liking Renee in those jeans, great arse on her.

    Bring on John Voight!

Thought this was a mediocre episode. The shoot-out was a little boring. And the president doesn't seem to have a clue what's going on. How many times can they go through the whole if you don't pull your troops out American lives will die routine?

    Good episode imo,very good shootout...Janice is a grumpy c*nt!

And the President is a tool..its like shes just sitting there doing NOTHING the last few hours.

It was a pretty good episode, I've gotta wonder if the camera lingering on Tony was just to make us suspect him. It could all be smoke and mirrors!

I'm rather curious as to where they're gonna go with Dubaku's lady friend. Maybe...she can build a new CIP device? And she's a waitress because the government are trying to hide her?!

Henry Taylor is having a pretty bad time, hopefully his luck will turn around!

So far a pretty average season as I continue on RTÉ Two. I didn't realise how far they are gone in the series.

The president is useless she is a female version of President Palmer 2 :(

The amount of time it takes them to get back to the First Gentlman (who look very like our very own First Gentleman). So far this season the cliffhanger has been left with him
