I just drove for only about a mile very slowly in snow. I'm not an experienced snow driver but I know to drive slowly in highest possible gear which I did and didn't skid at all. BUT, I smelled burning, and realised I was not letting the clutch out completey. Hopefully it was someone elses clutch I smelled as I was in a LOT traffic and there were loads of cars spinning wheels and sliding all over the road! Have I done a lot of damage?? Car is 2007 Ford Focus. :(

Don't worry, just don't make a habit of slipping your clutch.:)

Happened to one poor unfortunate lady about 2 hours ago on the M50 funny thing is the electrics died as well which has puzzled me.

I heard her say as she was leaving that she was going to ring the AA roadwatch and ask them to put out an apology from her for delaying the traffic :D

I had to leave my car dumped to the side of the road! If you saw a black almera just after the knocklyon exit, it was me! :D

You shouldn't have done too much damage if you weren't doing it for long and at low revs, but slipping the clutch is not a good thing to be doing in the long run. Keep your foot off the clutch unless you need it!
