So I bought myself a nice shiney dart board, but I'm having slight bother hanging it. I got a cabinet with it, but I dont really want to use it as it's pretty big and I'm no sure my wall will hold it.

I noticed the 2 holes in the back of the board, so I just wacked in some nails and stuck it up on that and made sure the nails were un-even so it straightened it, anyone think of why this wouldnt work or should this be fine? Is it nessecaryto have some sort of backboard for it?

No you don't need a backboard but I would recommend that you buy yourself a wall barcket. Argos used to do them but I'm not sure if they still do. Since you live in Dublin you should call into Brenfers darts shop on Capel street. They will sort you out straight away and they are not expensive at all.

there is probably a little bracket in the case. unsrew it from the case and srew it to your wall. they are generally rectangular in shape with a U shape cut out to accomadate the screw from the back of the board.

What would I need the wall bracket for?

With a wall bracket it is much easier!
Just say after a few months the twenty area is starting to get a bit worn and you want to move the board around, with a wall bracket it only takes a few seconds to change around. Or say you get a new board, with a wall bracket it takes seconds to put up compared to the normal way which takes ages and starts to become a pain in the backside

Exactly, it's very easy to take the board down and put it up because the bracket is spring loaded. So much easier than messing around with screws or nails and also the board is much more solid on the wall and will be perfectly level.

I take I need two wall brackets, one goes in the bullseye area and one at the top? I just put the one in at the bullseye and the board is a bit wobbly and it's out about a inch at the top. So I should put a second one by the 20 yea?

Well you could or you could just throw a bit of cardboard behind the 20 area. Save you the trouble.

Excuse me it's a wall clamp which I was meant to say, not a bracket!
I have this myself, you can't beat it.
Bought it in Argos about a year and a 1/2 ago.
