Irish DMA's - Tomorrow @ 9pm - Tivoli Theatre, Dublin - All Welcome

    Hi guys,

    This Wednesday, Feb 4th 2009, Slick DJ Magazine host their second edition of the annual Irish Dance Music Awards. Open to the general public, admission is a mere 10euro. 5euro of each admission will be donated to Temple Street Hospital, a donation which will be made by all on the night, including the guestlist, to help raise money for the childrens hospital.

    While some were concerned about the venue (after it closed early on Friday), we have been assured that everything is intact for tomorrow evening and that the Tivoli will DEFINITELY play host to the awards. Doors open at 9pm sharp, all are advised to get there before hand. Seventeen winners in total will be announced, which include the following:

    Best New Artist
    Best Single
    Best New Club Night
    Best Club (Under 600)
    Best VJ
    Best Dance Festival
    Best Resident
    Best Live Act
    Best Producer
    Contribution to the Scene
    Best Label
    Best Promoter
    Best Album
    Best Club (Over 600)
    Best Radio Show
    Best DJ
    Lifetime Achievement

    There'll be an interval half way through for people to stock back up on their drinks and have a chat about some of the winners. Throughout the night there will also be music from an all Irish lineup which includes Mick Chillage, who's set to showcase his new material, Paul Chillage providing an eclectic bag to suit everyone, Rockwell and of course Corrugated Tunnel.

    Hosting this years awards is Emmet "Scripty" Kirwan, known to some for his work as Frazier Fraze, to others as an aspiring actor, but to most as a messer with a lot to say. Also on the night will be a visuals showcase from Northern Irish VJ's Shakinda and Christian S. Things should run until 2.30am or so.
