Laser surgery - contact sports

Anyone know what the deal is with this or know anyone who does a contact sport, particularly boxing, who has had laser surgery? I heard somewhere that the older procedures for corrective laser surgery are more suitable for boxing as they dont create a flap in the eye tissue, anyone know anything about this? Cheers.

As far as i remember the doc told me that lasek is better than lasik if you play contact sports as the lasik flap can get dislodged. You also can't play contact sports for a good few weeks after the surgery.
