Grouping in the Mix ??

    Just curious as to your approach people. Group drums and apply effects? Group guitars/harmonies etc. Keep em seperated? I know it's relative to each project, but generally speaking........

    I group drums, b.vox, groups of instruments such as guitars etc. Though I don't usually group them specifially to apply effects, only sometimes. I usually group them just to make them easier to control if there's lots of stuff going on.

    While I nearly always group stuff for ease of control I seldom actually use a seperate sub-group output. The grouping is usually just a VCA group or a Protools Edit/Mix group.
