Anyone know how much an 08 new shape Skoda Superb 1.9 tdi whit about 7k Km on the clock should cost?
I think the retail is €32,000 for a new one but an 08 with the "lesser" diesel engine and 7k on the clock?
    Ta.

Well a new 1.9 tdi Greenline is c €27k and a mid spec with same engine is about €29.5k so I would hazzard a guess that cash maybe €21k...dealer might try push price up giving the whole new model jizz and very few about crap...

Thanks EPM, I didn't think the cash price could be so much lower, anyway, someone I know was offered €14.5k to change their 05 superb (1.9 105 bhp) with 65k miles on the clock for a new shape superb with same engine. BNot sure what spec. Seems that the dealer is offering well over 10k for their 05 superb. Not too bad I thought.

It does not sound a bad cost to change to come up 3 years to a new model. Just out of curiousity tell them go to another Skoda dealer and get the cost to change to a new one. They will know then. The 2.0TDI would be a better option, but then again it's more exspensive, and if they are used to the 1.9 there's no harm.

The new model is a fantastic car btw.

    +1

Provided the specs didn't go down in the new model

But he has a car to sell here and thats very tricky at the moment...

Plus that 14.8k is excluding VRT and Irish VAT as it is less than 6 months old and under 6k miles so technically classified as a new car

EDIT - Could be wrong but I make that at €16400 for the car + 3750 VRT + c. 4k VAT. Not much of a saving if his own car needs to go in first place.

Yip, spec is the same, as with engine, afaik. Anyway, afraid the UK is out because they want to trade and don't really have the time to sell privately. Even though, my advice was to try and sell privately, (taxed until Aug or Sep, new tyres, timing belt just done), but I think the thought of buying a car abroad, just does not appeal to this person. They are not "into" cars and find the reassurance of a main dealer far more comforting than taking a "risk" (as they put it to me) with an import. I can see their point, but I would not agree. However, not my money, so if the garage will trade, they will get the buisness.

VAT figure is wrong, you do not pay VAT in UK, so the VAT figure is

    £12,864 stg ex vat = €14,379 then VAT 21% = €17,470

    Add VRT of 4 ish

Ask your dealer here for the vrt figure but the car brand new with longer warranty is max 22k euro incl flights + ferry
