Question about Pickup positions in guitar body

Hey guys, i'm inerested in changing out my stock p/ups from my guitar as there not really up to the job anymore. I've been looking around and i've decided on Paf pro's (http://www.thomann.de/ie/dimarzio_dp151wh_humbucker_paf_pro.htm)

my question is, on the site there's only one pickup, and i've seen on various artists pages, they have Paf neck and Paf bridge p/up. :$

Does the same pickup on the bridge or neck position have a different tone? Or are they two seperate pickups alltogether?

Any info will help, i'm still a big nooblet >_<

Based on the info from the DiMarzio website I'd be inclined to think of it as a neck pick up only if using a pair of humbuckers. It says that used in the bridge position it "won't drown out single coils".

Usually you'd go for a higher output bridge pickup to lkeep the volume of both pickups fairly even, as strings vibrate less is the bridge area.

The are two factors here: tone and relative volume.
Tone-wise using the DP151 in both positions will be fine as the position itself produces a different tonal charactoristics (ever notice how strumming an acoustic in different positions produces different tones?).
Volume wise using the DP151 in both position will produce a noticable volume drop when switching to the bridge pickup.

I'd be inclined to look towards something like a Norton DP160 for the bridge with the DP151Pro for the neck. That's my 2c.
