Can't Access iTunes Store

    Not sure if this is in the right forum. Feel free to move it if it isn't.

    Basically, I can't access the iTunes Store from my laptop.

    When I click on it, a message comes up immediately telling me
    "iTunes could not connect to the iTunes Store. The network connection timed out.
    Make sure your network settings are correct and your network connection is active, then try again."

    I don't think I've ever been able to access it on this (newish) laptop.

    I have checked my Firewall, and it's set to allow everything.

    I'm using a Mac, by the way.

    Any help/advise would be much appreciated.
