A lot of time i seem to say the wrong. I have been like this for a long time but lately i have noticed it is getting worse. Sometimes i will say something and then realise it doidnt sound the way i meant it or other times i think to myself there is a topic i shouldnt discuss and then end up saying it anyway

Also i dont know if its related but i will sometimes act guilty about things. For example if money goes missing and i didnt take it i might say something that makes me look suspicious

Why do i do these things?

I could be totally wrong here but would I be right in saying you're in your late teens and perhaps you don't have as much confidence as you used to?
As I went through a stage of that in my mid to late teens
Try not to focus on it too much

Life is not a scripted play. It is about learning and growing. Everyone makes mistakes. The important thing is to learn from your mistakes. I found in my teens that I made mistakes several times before I learned from them. Try not to be hard on yourself. If you are a teenager or in your early twenties, you have plenty of time to grow and learn. Have fun, admit when you are wrong, respect others and you will always have friends. Being shy or being embarrassed is not a crime. It is a very endearing quality that more people could do with having. Focus on the many good sides of your personality. Good luck

thanks for the replies but i am not a teenager. I have this for a long time but lately its getting worse. Could it be because i am very unassertive? Or could it be ocd or a minor form of tourettes?

    Hey OP,

I don't think you've OCD or similar just because you say the wrong thing or something is taken up the wrong way. I'm guilty of this. It's the bane of my OH's life because i'll say something that i'll think is completely sound and as soon as it leaves my lips, or even sometimes i don't realise how much of a mistake i've made. The one thing i'll say is if you say something wrong, don't be afraid to correct yourself. and remember, it's not what you say, its what you do that defines you
