    Hi all,

I am living in Mount Saint Annes Milltown and looking to join a gym, just wondering has anyone been in simply fitness? I heard it is small but has good equipment. Just wondering anyones opinion...think its €299 for the year or €29 a month and €10 per class on top.

    Thanks in advance :)

I had a look in there. It's a pretty small place, but fairly well equipped for it's size. The guy running it seems a decent type, I believe he's looking for max 300 members.
For someone starting and living locally it would be fine. If you're serious and into big league lifting forget it !

thanks. i think i'll pop down now and see what i think, probably pay monthly and see how it goes. I don't need a pool or sauna etc just a few crosstrainers and a few classes everyweek.

I just joined up. No pool or any of the frilly bits but the price is so good and no contracts. In terms of fitness equipment it totally competes in the big leagues, I think, with a great range of dumbbells, benches and weights machines as well as all the big brand treadmills, cross-trainers etc. just more compact.

it's not huge, but looked like it had a good mix of free weights, machines and cardio to suit most people... also had a small studio at the back where they are looking to start some classes... if you're beside it well worth a look to check it out...

    here's their site: http://simplyfitness.ie/

Sorry about resurrecting an old thread but...

I was thinking of joining this place(Simply Fitness) - does it get very busy? As in, is there lots of queueing for machines?

Was a member in the Carslisle gym until recently and waiting for machines just totally sucks the will to live(and go to the gym) out of me.

Hey! i go there and it's not bad! the day is pretty much really quiet and the evenings arnt to bad, I live right beside it so it's obvious to go there for the price. there isnt any luxury in the place but if you want that just waste money and go to riverview!

    Hi,

Not sure if there are student rates but you can pay monthly by standing order.

Or you could pay for a few months upfront too.

I think it is better value if you join for the year membership, not sure what it is now.

I joined on a monthly basis, but it was €59 to join I think - which is a one off payment. Then I just pay around €30 a month to use it.

Was thinking of joining this gym, does anyone know how busy it is on weekday evenings?

I hear it is pretty cramped, so don't want to join and find I will be queuing to use machines alot.
