Need help with an outfit!! Please Read!!

Ladies and Gents, I need your help!!

My daughters christening is coming up in April and I have no idea what to wear to it... People are saying suit... but I'm 21 not 40...

So, I give you full run to suggest whatever you want for me... it's just sandwichs and tea back at my mums house after and maybe a meal in the evening... so something for the church and afterwards!!!

Here's some things to help you, help me!!

• I am femaile
• I am 21 years old
• I am roughly 5'3" tall
• Size 14
• Light Blonde hair
• Can walk in high heels, but not too high!!

Please can you help me???

try some smart jeans with a blazer and a nice top underneath, and make it nice and girly with some cute heels, bangles, and some long necklaces.

Jeans & Blazer are a good option but I would say as its your daughter's Christening its a little casual. Also this sometimes can look a little old on someone only 21.
I would suggest a dress (maybe a jersey dress- wrap style), coloured tights (if its still cold in April- without tights if by a mirarcle its not cold!) and nice shoes with a heel- son't go too high as you will be on your feet a lot throughout the day.
Try Warehouse & Zara for some nice options- they normally do nice day wear that would be suitable for the mass but not too old & boring that you couldn't adapt them to wear yourself again!

A suit is way too old-fashioned for a christening in this day and age, especially for a 21-year-old! I presume it's someone of an older generation telling you to wear this? I would definitely go for a lovely dress...it's a special day after all...but not something too fussy.

Just make sure you feel comfortable in whatever you wear because it will be a long day, but make sure you look gorgeous There are lovely dresses out there at the moment so I hope you get something.

Hi OP, I really think the dress from Miss Selfridge would be flattering for your size.

I dont think polka dots would look nice in the christining photos though, I would pick something thats not going to take away from the baby on the day.

My thoughts are black jeans from Dorothy Perkins, a simple top underneath in soft pink or lilac and then a really nice cardigan (full length). I think this would compliment your figure on the day.

Dress with flat (or low heel) boots and tights. You want something to wear again and that you feel comfortable.

Go with something comfy as you are minding a baby all day too!!

Even back trousers and a nice dressy nice top wil do the trick nicely - a suit is way overboard, especially for a 21 year old!

Because it will be in April, I'd suggest working from the coat- something classy but simple like this neutral mac from principles:

You could team it with a simple neutral camisole and skinny jeans ( black would probably age better in the photos) and some black ankle boots/high heels.

With maybe a simple navy top inside the jacket so when you take off the jacket you still have an outfit.

I think jeans with some heels and a dressy top would be fab too though if you were more comfy in trousers.

I defo wouldnt go for a suit though, like you said - your 21 not 40

Go pick yourself up a dress and heels, whatever colour suits you, I don't think there's any colour that you would have to avoid.

I'd advise it to not be too low cut as you'll be in a church. It's the one day where everyone will want to hold and mind your child (family and friends I mean), so don't worry about heels, throw a pair of flats in your bag just in case!

Bear in mind you'll probably have photos of this day up in frames in your house so you should treat yourself to something nice

Urban Outfitters have these gorgeous peep toe heels atm. They dont look too high so they wouldnt kill you and they could dress up your outfit if you wanted to go casual.

Seeing as you're only 21 you definitely should avoid the whole suit idea. I'm not sure what your own style is but if I were you I'd prolly wear heels similar to those ^, jeans and a longish dressy top. Something kinda summery looking(not summery feeling,its bloody freezing.) If you could wear a nice cardigan or a nice jacket it'd look lovely
