    I'd buy bank shares. Spread it around to cover the risk of various banks going bust but pick the old school banks with depositors.

    Funny thing. I played online poker regularly with a guy from Detroit, and actually said something similar to him about 9 months ago. He must have been offended. Haven't heard a lot from him since. :(

    A customer of mine bought 3,000 AIB and 3,000 BOI shares 2 weeks ago at around 40c - 50c apiece. He sold the AIB shares for a €3,000 profit last week. There have been millions made on bank shares in the past few months.
