Someone told me that puppies usually get more of their Father's features than Mums?

Does anyone know if this is true? :o

My neighbours golden lab has just had pups
and the dad is a golden retriever,
at this stage they all look the same
but neighbour insists they will take after Dad :confused:

Let me put it this way: I've had a litter of black Lab x Rottweiler. The father was the black Lab. Three pups looked like black Labs and three like Rottweilers :D. And one, well, one looked like a Lab x Rottweiler :D

Its all to do with which genes are dominant and which are reccesive it would prob take a fair bit of research to get a defo answer but a lot of litters are split features wise
