I found some cheap flights for venice for and was wondering if anyone had any tips on what to do there for the two days.

    Any help would be appreciated

Just get yourself lost! Seriously, it's an amazing place to just wander off into. Full of hidden gems of squares too numerous to make it into guide books. If you do pick out a few places you want to visit just make a bee-line on foot between them. And don't 'eat in' unless the weather makes you. Grab some pizza-by-the slice, find a bench and take the world in.

agree with poster above, its not as if you have any choice though, getting lost in the maze that is venices narrow streets is as certain as rain in ireland in july :D

the main sites in venice are:
    the rialto bridge

Piazza San Marco which includes the campanile (climb to the top for a small fee) and Doge's Palace. behind the palace is the famous bridge of sighs

Basilica of Saints Giovanni and Santa Maria dei Frari are probably venices' most famous churches
