I'm at a loss with this Ipod shuffle i'm using is not registering when i insert it into the USB port in my pc.
When its switched on & i press the front of it, it flashes back-forth from green (normal) to amber (not normal) as it should only show green.

It needed chargin as it was running low, i had it plugged into a 4-port USB Mini Hub, but noticed it wasnt charging after a while?

I assume this was the case as there was a Mem. stick already there & was takin preference?
I assumed the mini-hub was meant to be like an adapter?
so i unplugged it from one to the other for suitability?

The display on iTunes itself shows [Name] Ipod when it plugged in, but shows songs not available?

    Its a 1st gen i think with 512MB.

    Thanks for any help available.

edit: Do i need to add more info on this

Thanks for your response, i'll try that & let you know how it turns out. :)

Btw: how is it that podcasts arent affected as i can play them when its inserted into the pc, but the music as it says when clicked on says the following in the pic below.

As maybe that might be the right way, but confused as only the music is affected?

Try it directly to a usb in comp, not a hub.
There can be power issues with most hubs

Still works, & i deleted some of the music on it &added some more, still plays when inserted through itunes?

As the music is backed up as it came from the pc anyway, i could try & restore it, but is that the obvious thing to do?

Im only getting back to this now, as i work late shifts & gotta go soon before i nod off.
