Laptop Dead

Hey all. Dell Inspiron 1501, was working fine earlier today, left it on, came back a few hours later and it won't switch on. Completely dead. The power supply cable seems fine. Would it be just the battery, or is it truly dead? Please help.

Hey all.

any signs of life out of it at all

you could try a different power supply or try the laptop with the battery removed

Advice if you leave your laptop plugged in alot go and get surge protector. Has happened me walked away and come back and the battery was dead due to a surge. Could have been worse though
