Yeah agree with the other guys, for this money its got to be the Fiesta, i have driven both of those cars in the past, and the blue oval would get my vote:)

Fiesta, but make sure it's got power steering and preferably the 1.25 16V engine and not the 1.3. Encore and LX spec are pretty sparse - less things to go wrong at least
