    Alri lads,
The father is looking at a Volkswagen Passat registered after July, so it has the new tax rating. She's a 1.9 TDI and i was wondering if anyone could tell me what the tax would be on her for the year ? Are there any chances the road tax will go up with this new budget out on Tuesday ?

How much would you pay for that car with 19,000 on the clock ? [alloys and all that come with her]

Apologies if this is the wrong forum for this question, please move is neccessary.

    Thanks for your time,
    Dave

given that you can buy a far suerior brand new Passat TSI for €22450 list price, I wouldn't want an 08 1.6 for more 16k

Misread the "she's a 1.9 TDI" bit as "she has a 1.9 TDI" don't know where I got the 1.6 idea from. Will visit Specsavers post-haste.

    Lol :D

The 1.9 tdi isn't on Vw's site, but the 1.9 Jetta is there which is category B for tax which i presume is the same. Cat B is €156 for the year.

    hi

we are moving over to import more and more Passat Saloons and Estates direct from VW UK - and for a 1.9 TiD/TDi Saloon, Bluemotion or other the price on a 2008 with about 6-10 months age and 7-14,000 miles is

€16995-17995 including vrt - higher spec Highline is slighty more

this is how much you should be looking to pay - the vrt in this is around €3850 - we did an import for a customer just last week

    good luck

The 1.9tdi is €290 approx to tax. The newer models with 2.0TDI might get into the €156 band.
