    Ominous emanations from the RFU today. Scotland, France :eek: and Italy games in Twickers not sold out for first time in a decade and hospitality package sales down 27%. A number of premiership clubs are struggling to stay afloat and there are rumblings about the 2015 WC being non-viable form a financial perspective due to the outlandish costs imposed by the IRB in a pre-crunch world.

    It also appears that the Lions tour has taken a hit with large numbers of packages and tickets unsold. There are also serious concerns about the financial well being of the game in SA. Tough times ahead for the global game methinks...
