    Hi,
Looking at a cruise with cr*ise.co.uk and was just wondering does one get all the same protection buying from them as opposed to an Irish Travel agent? They are Iata and ATOL protected, so should something happpen, will we be OK? Saving 500 Euro so semms good? Many thanks...

If they are ATOL protected it's not exactly the same as the ITAA bond Irish travel agents would have. It protects the Air travel part of the holiday. If they are ABTA as well they cover the non air holidays. If you are booking a cruise alone with the ATOL bonded company,AFAIK it would offer you no protection as you didn't take the flights with them. IATA isn't a protection either it's just a licence to sell flights. I'n sure they are fine but it could be worth getting travel insurance that cover insolvency so you have all angles covered.
