I can remember my dad testdriving one back when they were new and he really liked it. He ended picking up a 1.8T passat and he always said that the Galant would've been the more relaxing choice. I take it thats its the 2L that you're looking at.

Had a Galant for a while, nice car, good long distance driver, comfy and the slightly soft suspensions helps. back roads can be a bit boucey. Good space, interior wise and boot. Only had one problem, altenator went, was easy tofind a replacement from the breakers and easy to fit, also engine was easy to work on...
so if you looking for a comfy cruiser, then its a nice car, makes a change from Mondeo's and vectra's.......

My parents own a 1998 Galant for the last 6 years now. Both of them love the car.
Been exceptionally reliable, never a problem with the car.

Both said they would definetaly get another Mitsubishi.

Also, they can be had extremely cheap now.
