what happened to the days when a drummer didn't have to look to find a band cos everyone was looking for them? i'm a drummer (18) in dublin with a fair bit of gigging experience looking for a band or musicians interested in fast, upbeat music that could be danced to such as klaxons, mgmt, foals, bloc party, late of the pier, lcd soundsystem and so on and so forth

Hey, I'd be up for a jam if you're still bandless. My band is kina on hiatus as our bassist emigrated so I'm looking to get something new going. I'm based in Dublin and play guitar/keys some bass and I write songs/sing a bit. Let me know if yer interested and we can set up a jam at some stage.

Well, I'm a Bassist. Been playing for almost three years now, and I've had **** loads of gigging experience. I might be interested in getting another band going, with more of a "dance rock" feel to it. I'm currently living in Bray. Only problem is the fact that I'm very particular with vocalists, but I'm definitely up for giving this a shot. There's also the fact that I only have a 30watt Bass amp, which is really only good for use as a monitor. But miking it up through a PA or something could work, and once I get this fecking college grant sorted, I'm gonna treat myself to a nice cab and stack.

I also write music a lot. Not so good on the lyrics end of things, but I write loads of Bass and guitar riffs and melodies.
