Is driving licence still accepted for the UK?

I haven't been to the UK for over 18 months, and i far as i can remember, they accepted my driving licence at the check-in desk but only just! I'm going to a match in Nottingham next Wednesday so i won't have a passport sorted in time.

So like the thread says, is a full driving licence still accepted or is passport the only form of ID that they take? Silly question i know but i just want to make sure!

    Who are you flying with?

Check your flight details that will have all the info on.

I would always take a passport though no matter what.

ryanair won't accept a driver's license if you want to check in online - however they will if you check in at the airport. with aer lingus driver's will be okay.
