For as cool as that'd be, Croke Park still isn't a good venue for soccer.

The new Lansdowne Road is favourite for the UEFA Europa cup final in 2011 so that might have to do!!

This is great news. Im delighted for the FAI, and I hope this will be advantageous. With the realignment of the league, it is quite possible that bigger teams will take it more seriously and we could have two big teams competing.

Nothing like this has even been held in Ireland. Im looking forward to it !

What difference would it make if Rangers were playing? It's not like they'll be playing Ireland in the final or anything.

The amount of actual Irish people at the match will be very small, so it won't make too much of a difference.

If people hope for them to reach the final just so they hope to watch them riot against Irish Celtic supporters outside the stadium, then that's pretty sad.

    Well done Wembley btw

Don't think that's right. A large proportion of the ticket allocation would go to the local population / association.

I think its each participating club gets 30% and then the other 40% is general sale for the locals...

It will give Irish people with a bit of pride good incentive to support the other side if they do :)

Hope you dont get a beating while sitting in the Gers end when someone hears your accent during a rousing rendition of No Surrender to the IRA.
