    Bought my car 2 weeks ago, is there any way to find out if my logbook is on the way or iff the dealership has posted the details. Also iff i want to trade in the caR WOULD ANOTHER DEALERSHIP ACCEPT IT WITHOUT THE LOGBOOK

    Call the dealer you bought it from and make sure he has sent it off. If so call Shannon and see what the craic is. Dealer will not take the car without the cert but I'm sure he will still quote you on a trade in (well maybe)!

    The last thing when pricing a car the dealer will ask you about is the tax book. Although, when it comes to owners etc. the topic may come up. You can ring the tax office, quote the reg and give them your name and address and they'll tell you yes or no. They won't tell you who's name it's in, but if you give them your name and it'll tell if it's in your's or not.
