Free Weights Vs Machine Weights

    Hey dudes,

    I'm a regular gym user for the last number of years and do plenty of weights. To date I have been using only machine weights and find that there is a poor result for the amount of effort put in. E.g. I'm benching 100k and curling 50k, muscle development is not too bad but definition is very poor.

    Will machine weights help me to get better definition?
    Will I need to start at lower weights (due to balance, etc)

    While we're on the subject of fitness got a paunch I need to loose - best exercise for trimming it?

    Without getting into the pro's and con's of machines over free weights, diet is your key to definition.

    So I will just say freeweights.

    Far better off with free weights and ye id say you will have to lower what you bench to do it with free weights

    Thanks for the advice lads. What would be the best routine for building good arm / chest / shoulder muscle? Also any advice would be appreciated on tightening up the stomach / weight loss exercises. I understand the diet aspect of it, thanks!

    Watch what you eat, focus on compound lifts (squat, deadlifts, militaries. ties in with your free weight vs machines) & cardio. There's not a lone exercise that'll get rid of a belly
