I am 6ft in height and curretnly bulking. When I weigh myslef on the scales in the gym (which I presume would be more accurate) it states I am 11 stone in weight however when I weigh myself at home on my own scales it states I am 11.5 stone. I was 10.5 stone last Summer and I knew I needed to increas my weight. I am failry broad shouldered and I was wondering what weight would you suggest would be ideal for me to aim for. I am trying to bulk up as much lean muscle as possible. My diet is failry strict and I trian 5 days in the gym (4 days weights) and one day intense cardio. I used to cycle to work 3 days a week but I have dropped that for the winter months

Since you are weight training you will have your own idea about what is an ideal size. So really a better question might be "what is the ideal bodyfat %".

I reckon my own ideal goal, at 5'11'', would be 12-12.5 stone and 10% BF, of course many would call that a skinny runt! but I would be happy at that.

On my calipers booklet I think it was saying normal/ideal BF% was ~14%.

    You're doing it wrong.

Don't worry about weight or ideal weight. When you're big enough you'll know.

Its like that bit in Cool Runnings where Dorice (sp*) says to John Candy (the coach) "how will I know I'm enough," and John Candy replies "when you cross that finish line you'll know."
