    hey all

moving house soon and decided to check out BB options in the area, we have decided to go with BT (either them or eircom only ones who do BB in the area), basically forgot to ask if there was a phone line in the house but im pretty sure there is.

anyway rang BT and asked do you do BB in the area, they said we had to get the phone number as that was the only way they could tell if they did BB for that area, surely they can check if they do BB in the area rather without the phone number?

    anyone any experience with this?

They'll need a phone number, or past phone number for that house, to be sure. You could look for the number to a pub or take away that's close by, and check that on eircom's line checker. That would give you an indication of whether it's available or not.
