Creatine for recovery?

    Hi folks,

Quick question. I've had a look at the stickies but amn't ure about the answers.

I'e been doing the programme from the Starting Strength book for a while and am happy enough with my progress. I have started taking protein in the morning or post workout. I'm looking to get healthier and a bit fitter, and to lose the belly rather than put muscle on my muscles so I haven't been pushed about using anything else.

I have started doing Muay Thai classes and don't want to drop off on the weights training - would something like creatine help when it comes to recovering from sessions? i.e. recovering from M.T quicker so I'm not stiff when i'm trying to lift and vice versa.

    Cheers in advance!

    Possibly.

More food, milk and sleep are better options though in fairness. Drink your milk, eat loads and sleep well. You'll see slower gains from SS due to the Muay Thai but you'll be fine.

Insofar as it'll regenerate ATP stores, yes.

Will it help prevent DOMS? Probably not!

Cheers for the reply - I had to look up ATP so i figured other people might have to also. Found a very basic piece that explains it here.

Sh1t sorry....but basically it'll put petrol back in your tank, but won't take the dings out of the bodywork.

Food/a good panel beater is whatcha need for that!
