Don't know, never been. Have read (on here) that it's a pretty crap place?

last time i was there i saw someone at least in their 40's hitting on a girl who was probably just passed the age of consent.

it's a ****ing dive of a place. it's awful, they allow the culchies to have drinks on the dance floor so when they finish they do the drop and kick glass routine, which means you end up standing on shards of glass, not something you'd want if you're a girl in strapped shoes.

and it's not even that cheap, where the feck are all the culchies getting the money from?

Yes, its a school disco for 20 & 30 somethings.

You have to be able to score somewhere with ease.

    This...

Was there about a year ago. The bar service is a joke. ****ing Auld ones plastered in make up and tan everywhere, and all the entrance fee brought was a measly stamp upon the hand:D
Seriously though, the place could be a bit better if the bar staff actually performed their jobs to full capacity. Good service == teh win! in most places.

Meh, it's pretty messy alrite but sometimes a messy night is good for you.

The complete lack of posers and other assorted gob****es you get in various other nightclubs can only be a good thing.

Back in the '90s people seriously thought places like CFJ would close down because of the dance clubbing scene :p

I love coppers! Haven't been there in a while because after a while the bouncers started asking me "Ah, where were you last week? I didn't see you here" then i knew it was bad :D

I enjoy watching preppy boys and girls think they are so posh! With the A&F and designer bags

ps: i sometimes dress like that :D

Its not called Coppers for nothing.. I used to live with girls who went out with guards and it was the ONLY place they used to frequent...
I haven't been there in years but each time I was forced to go I swore it would be the last:)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,398 ✭✭✭MIN2511

There are hardly any culchies left there :D

The D4 people have invaded the place with their A&F t-shirts... Everyone talking about Bank of Mum & Dad :D

Yes, i feel that modern irish culture is a heaving mass of hot sweating, groping flesh fondeling itself whilst downing wkd and jagerbombs.

    No all teachers:D

The company that imported us to Ireland put us in the Jackson Court Hotel (near their offices), and thus CFJ's was my first introduction to Ireland.

I'm still carrying the scars, and a slight nervous tick whenever it's mentioned :pac:

for all the complaints about the place, its the most popular club in town if not the country.name any club in ireland that is busy 7 days a week without even having to put drink promos on.plenty of spots in town put cheap deals on monday-thursday for students.2-3 euro a drink and yet coppers is still full of students paying full price for a drink.love it or hate it-theyre doin something right.

It takes in on average €9,000 a night. One of the busiest in Europe

    sheepishness.

Good nightclubs dont exist in Ireland. Just horrible seedy places like the one we speak of.

Best club in Ireland. Never, ever had a bad night there.

It'll be the first spot I hit when I get home next week.

    Not really.
I know bars that $15k on a weekend night is poor and bars that always do $25k-$30k min.

Me neither, it's always been fun!

Here we go again! What do you classify as good nightclubs? We have Krystle, Tonic, Coppers, D2, The Church(aka Keatings), the Palace to name a few. I frequent a few and they are good.
Been to clubs in NYC, Boston, Atlanta, London, Aberdeen, Birmingham etc and they are good but i suppose home is always were the heart is!:)

Conver that to euro in the good ol days and that would be €20k and i can bet Coppers make that on a Friday/Saturday night... It's a tenner to get in, and the place is bloody packed i would think at least 450 people if not more plus drinks... Spend on average €50 per night... iif we do the math(based on 450 people) thats about €27k...

Well, I suppose my idea of socialising isnt going out listening to the same songs I just heard being played in the taxi on the way in looking at big groups of girls / lads dancing in a rather segregated manner whilst in between going up to the bar and knocking back a double vodka etc etc.....

I enjoy an atmosphere in a place, coppers is the same as any ****ty dublin nightclub, only that through its rep, it attracts the crowd, therefore, sheep. Horrible place, pure attraction for the prototype

I dont get why you reply to what ive said by just pulling the 'get off your high horse' card. I guess you dont have much else you can say to me.

So I guess by acknowledging the terribly mundane predictable crap of your average nightclub leaves me stuck up my own arse? I dont think its that way, its just your perhaps just another crowd follower, admires the place thats biggest, you remind me of my mates who enjoy going to the same place weekend in/out gettin pissed.... Gets boring for some after the first few times
