    Well,

Last nov-early dec I booked flights to New York from Dublin from the 5th of march. They were 350 euro. At the time aerlingus were saying it was so cheap cause they were having a sale. Now the flights have dropped to 250? I mean this is so annoying. Why do we get punished for booking early. Is there anything that can be done about this?

In ever walk of life the price of things chance with supply and demand.

Surely this isn't the first time you've come across rising or falling prices? It's no different than buying a shirt and seeing it at a different price a few weeks later.

Can't really complain about that. You bought a ticket at a price you were happy with. Had you waited you could have paid the same, lower or higher. Sometimes it pays off sometimes it doesn't.

The difference is the fuel levy is gone, so that's why they are down

I'm in the same boat, but to hell with it, that's life - i'm still off to NY next week, happy days!

What he said. If you got them for €250 and they went up to €350, would you be calling Aer Lingus to offer to pay the difference? Unlikely.

Prices go up, prices go down - it's the way of the world.
