When's the last time Mason won a match on TV? He just never seems to turn up. Van Der Voort gonna win this pretty easily unless Mason finds something special. He is averaging just over 80.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,151 ✭✭✭Ronan|Raven

Jaws with an easy win, I love the silence of the crowd tbh.

Yeah it's gas, you can hear the players talking to themselves on the stage.

Baxter V Eccles on now, would love to see the Rocket win this one.

Was Tony Eccles in Prison before?

Great comeback by the Rocket! Thought he was dead and buried.

Yeah Ronnie has always been a slow starter, it takes him a bit to get into the game. It was a very good comeback but Eccles let him in with so many missed doubles at the end. Still I'm happy Ronnie got through.

Great start for Wayne Jones against Terry Jenkins. Jones is 2-0 up.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,003 ✭✭✭ratinakeg

It's now 4-1 to Jones, very impressive 127 check out!

Missed the end of the Baxter match :(

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,003 ✭✭✭ratinakeg

    Damn it, Jenkins out:(
    6-2 in the end!
I think Muurvf (as Chris Mason would say)is on next.

  • Moderators, Society & Culture Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 12,370 Mod ✭✭✭✭Kingp35

Yeah he is on next aginst our own Felix McBrearty.

Jones played very well in that to be fair, he averaged over 100 although so did Jenks. Bit of a shock that.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,003 ✭✭✭ratinakeg

McBrearty's average only 78 or so, He needs to up his game quickly. Damn it 3-1 now.

  • Moderators, Society & Culture Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 12,370 Mod ✭✭✭✭Kingp35

Much better quality link for you lads. It's perfect even at full screen!

Felix never turned up there, Merv looked good.

Merv just too good for Felix!
    C'mon the Pie Man!

What's going on with all the bounce outs for Osbourne!
Think it's 6 bounce outs so far!

I think he throws very light darts and the board might be a bit hard and Osbournes darts might not be sharp enough. No problems for Smith though. Wonder will he ask for the board to be changed?

They probably wont have the polarisation codes so jot them down before you head out... they'll probably put it on for you.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,282 ✭✭✭Carrickman

I'm sure at this stage most bars have them codes, all the darts bars around these parts have them anyway.

two right clowns on there now

Lewis getting his ass kicked by Tabern who is 4-1 up at the break. He is averaging just below 80, pretty awful so far from Lewis. Tabern looks solid and should win this.

Great fight back from Painter in the last match. He was 5-2 down against Roy and ended up winning 6-5. I didn't see the match but sounds like it was a great comeback.

Can't wait for Taylor V MvG. Hopefully MvG shows up this time and beats the Power.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 542 ✭✭✭Evolution Enter

Whatever about Painter, I really don't like Roy, so no harm he went out

    C'mon Lewis!!!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,612 ✭✭✭jwshooter

think painter done well showed some class to nite i would like him to do well in this one ,i would not be a fan of his but he is there or there abouts .
lewis looked like he was in the middle of having a stroke ,the guy looks un well so un fit .if you want to be mentally strong ya have to be physically strong.
lewis is a long way off a world title ,crowned before he got near the throne

  • Moderators, Society & Culture Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 12,370 Mod ✭✭✭✭Kingp35

That was poor from Lewis, he never got into it and it's why he won't win anything. He is way too inconsistent and doesn't have it right upstairs. That said Tabern played very well witha 97 average.

Hamilton V Manley next. The bad boy is back on TV

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 542 ✭✭✭Evolution Enter

He is some player though when on form

Maybe getting himself into better shape could do him the world of good

But remember, still only 24 - I think Barney has been the youngest world champ since Taylor won his first?? And that was when he was in his 30's!!

As great as the younger players are on any given night, Wade is the only one that seems to put tournament-long runs together

It'll come with time and experience

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,612 ✭✭✭jwshooter

the game is to start but i think wade is twice the player of lewis .wade is 25 he will last better than lewis .
there all waiting for taylor to hang them up . (but that will be the day)

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,003 ✭✭✭ratinakeg

Did anyone see the lad dressed up as a bear with the "Hi Mum, I'm Gay" sign.:D

It looked like Manley had no interest at all in his game!

Wade playing better after he was broke in the 3rd leg.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 542 ✭✭✭Evolution Enter

With Barney looking like he's back interested, Wade getting back in form would make for an interesting season, especially with the league approaching

Someone wanna show Thornton and Dudbridge where the doubles are??
