i wouldnt call it awful, it's more of a landmark album for 2Pac, Death Row and Hip Hop.

Anywho, i cant decide on this, when i describe my favorite age of hip hop, i always say '92 to '96, so that's me out of the voting

Eaxacly, the album can't be dismissed really whether you like it or not. I'd say 1988-1996 for my fave hip-hop period, find it hard to find brilliance after that.
