Jee Im getting old..the debs was the only thing we had, and every penny i earned slaving away on my summer job went on a manky debs dress (manky now, prob grand then).

Why is there a "pre debs"? Why not just go out for a night.. I may have seen a dress similar to that in either warehouse or RI, I'll have a scout about online..

    Cheers!
dunno why we have one really. It's just a chance for the whole year to go out and get pissed together. And you can bring a date and stuff. just like a much less formal debs! I'm not complaining :)

    1) That model is anorexic

    2) Almost certain the dress is from the River Island Xmas collection

^ yeah if not there was a very similar one in RI

also a predebs? what the hell?

When you say there's a similar one in river island do you mean atm or before? dammit i really want that dress. buying online isn't an option for me so asos is out of the picture found an amazing skirt there too and all.

also a predebs? what the hell?

Why is everyone so surprised at a predebs?

    I had a pre-debs too!
As for London, they have all the general high street, but with the current exchange rate the stuff will work out cheaper. Topshop on Oxford Street carries some nice brands that aren't on the website and you can't get in Dublin. For something a bit more special check out Selfridges.

I had a predebs 5 years ago so it's not that unusual. Maybe it's a private school thing...

Our school used the pre debs to raise money for the actual debs. I don't think it's too unusual, a lot of Dublin schools seem to have them now.

    i had a pre-debs 17 years ago.

I know our school had a 5th year "social" where the gals got tarted up and the lads borrowed their big brothers good shirt and overdosed on lynx but considering most of 5th year were 16/17 it was impossible to get drink so they had to hire a bus to take them about half hour outside the city to a rotten venue where they served booze to young wans. Then it was a year till the debs.

Oxford street would be a good place to start looking, deffo check out topshop there, they carry loads of designers that you wouldn't find in dublin, also try lipsy, reiss, all saints, miss selfridge and warehouse.
