Hardly an optional accessory. When you consider the weight of the thing, you can hardly mount it on your wall.

I was going to buy it but luckily I spotted
Component, Composite, PC Input, DVI, RS232, 3 x Video Card Slots
Only 1 composite video input, tisk tisk, I want to connect my Wii and PS2 ;)

In a properly built house you could.
In a modern one you can forget about it.
But then again, in a modern house the living room would not be big enough anyway.

Saw that beast displaying a broadcast of the Tour de france. It felt like you were standing on the road watching them passing by. It is fecking huge.

You could probably use it as a supporting wall, and built the house around it!

I saw this thing in the flesh. It is unbelievably big. The figures do not do it justice.

I was dying to see the power ratings for it as this thing would cost a lot to run. The heat off it was immense.

In MediaMarkt in Almere? if it's the same place you mean, i love the way they have a sign next to it saying something like 'Videocamera Bewaking' (Basically 'CCTV in operation.') It's a shame cause i was planning on shoplifting it up my jumper :P

Mediamarkt it was but in another city. Also saw it at Saturn.
Damn i miss having shops like that here in Ireland.

I guess they are not so much worried that someone will put that scren in his pockets and runs away with it. But there is always one muppet that think it is funny to key the screen or inflict any other kind of damage. That must be the reason of that cctv sign.

    Give it a few years...

The first plasma telly I ever saw on sale here was a Philips 40" in Brown Thomas about 9 or 10 years ago, back when they had their AV department downstairs. It cost £14,000 (that's punts / proper money). The stand was another £900ish. You couldn't give away a 40" plasma these days.

I saw something not far off this side in a tech mall in KL at one stage - actually felt sick after two minutes of watching a sports dvd on it :P
